It was announced on Thursday 30th November that our application for the Sports Capital Grant has been successful.

On a great day for sports clubs locally and nationally, it was revealed that we have been awarded €94,000 in funding under the scheme which is the joint highest allocation in Meath.

It has taken the best part of three years for us to get to this point after we initially got the ball rolling back in early 2015. As we set about improving our facilities for future generations, various committees were set in place to cover all the different aspects such as research, planning and fundraising. Thanks to all our volunteers within the club who got involved on these committees and left no stone unturned in producing what has now proven to be a highly impressive application.

Over the last two years we have undertaken a huge fundraising drive and only last weekend we hosted our second staging of “Come Laugh With Us”. Numerous fundraising events were held over the last few weeks in the lead up to Saturday night and a massive thanks must go to everyone who supported us in any way. We could not have done it without the backing of our fantastic community and thanks to you - our dream is now becoming a reality!
